GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
GEO is optimization that shapes content and structure so generative AI cites your site as a source in its answers.
What separates it from SEO is the outcome measure: citations and mentions rather than clicks. There is no ranking table, so it is measured by logging whether each engine cites you across a fixed set of questions.
